Lance Camper Launches Enduro Adventure Trailer for a Pretty Penny

Lance Camper, most known for its hearty slide-in truck campers, has thrown its entry into the trendy nimble off-road camper trailer segment with its Enduro 1200ek adventure trailer. Lance began eyeing the overland market some eight years ago, and after three prototypes, has perfected the production version of the Enduro. With sporty looks, flexible space, and a go-anywhere (mostly) athletic demeanor, the Enduro is tailored for active outdoorsy adventurers who want a tiny towable.

Before we get into the fun stuff, let's cover the basics. At 20.5-feet long overall, the Lance Enduro, like many of its off-road trailer counterparts, is as compact as it looks—although smaller travel trailers and toy haulers definitely exist. Its floor length measures 12 feet. At 101.5 inches wide, it's nearly full-width, maximizing its small footprint. The Enduro weighs 3,500 pounds dry and has a cargo carrying capacity of 1,000 pounds, for a GVWR of 4,500 pounds. It comes standard with Curt independent suspension, off-road tires, aluminum holding tank skid plates, articulating hitch, and a full-size spare tire.

There's 40 gallons of fresh water and 26 gallons of grey water capacity, numbers respectable for the size of the trailer. The holding tanks are heated. Black water duties are handled by the cassette toilet's removable cartridge. There's 5 gallons of propane, but overlanders come up with various ways to carry multitudinous bottles. There's a propane gas hookup on the front for convenient fueling of propane grilles, heaters, firepits, and so on. Hot water and ducted heat come courtesy of a Truma Combi Eco Plus unit.

There's 190 watts of solar standard, but customers can opt for a second panel to double the wattage. For easy hookup additional portable solar panels, there's a pre-wired connector plug near the front of the trailer. The Enduro comes standard with a 1,500-watt inverter and 100-aH lithium battery, with a second battery optional.

Stepping inside, the layout of the Lance Enduro isn't complicated, but it's rather unique due to a rear-access outdoor kitchen that's not completely sealed-off and separated from the interior space. For example, the Truma cooler can be accessed from the inside space or the outdoor kitchen. Above the cooler, a TV can swivel to be watched indoors or outdoors. Basically, the outdoor kitchen's sink area has a solid backsplash and overhead storage, but step to the right of the sink, where the cooler rests, and you can still see straight into the interior.

The main cabin, finished in high-gloss gel-coated fiberglass, consists of a permanent 80-inch by 72-inch bed and two opposing bench seats (with backrests), capped by a swiveling Lagun table in the middle. The bed and bench seats form a U-shaped dinette. There's a storage cubby under one of the benches. With the table removed and the Dura-Leather wrapped ultra-plush cushions arranged, the whole dinette area converts into a really spacious sleeping space. The Enduro is four-season capable and has dual-pane acrylic tinted Thermopane Euro windows that open easily (and even lock in a slightly "cracked" position to allow airflow while parked).

Opposite of the passenger-side entry door (with a sliding screen door built into the frame, not swinging like traditional trailer screen doors), there's a full wet bath (24-inch by 26-inch shower pan) with a cassette toilet and handheld shower head. A super cool sealed compartment recessed into one of the shower walls can store towels or anything else suitable for a hidden cubby. The cassette toilet has five gallons of capacity and a two-gallon fresh water reservoir. The potty's cartridge, complete with wheels and a handle, can be accessed from the exterior. There's also a wash station with a quick-release hose.

A top-hinge rear hatch pulls up to shade the outdoor kitchen. A spacious bamboo countertop surrounds a round stainless steel sink fed by a modern high-clearance black faucet. A two-burner propane stovetop pulls out from under the countertop, along with a top drawer (for utensils). There's more storage under the sink and overhead. One fun detail is a wall magnet, good for securing more kitchen utensils. The backside of the swing-away spare tire carrier rack contains an optional fold-down table with an extendable leaf.

The Lance Enduro has a good amount of flexible storage capabilities thanks to Molle panels throughout, a large pass-through compartment (below the fixed bed), and a front storage box on the tongue. There's room for optional bike racks in front of the tongue box and on the rear hitch receiver. A roof rack system allows for accessories like a roof top tent.

There's a lot to love about the Lance Enduro adventure trailer, but before you fall too hard for this new off-road, off-grid tiny trailer, brush up on your negotiating skills. We found a decked-out 2024 Enduro 1200ek at a local dealer "coming soon" for over $77,000. The "cheapest" ones we found were still over $70,000. But hey, it's still way cheaper than an adventure van.
